Hadouken! to Smog in Capital as Two Meetings Continue
Beijing citizens really need to look up and give thanks to the Great Almighty Ryu in the sky as he unleashed a powerful Hadouken to dispel the smog that has plagued the city for the early days of China’s political season. While the Chinese government has demonstrated in the past an adroitness at ridding the skies of the capital from its pervasive haze–see “APEC Blue”–it has surprised many Beijingers that the air to begin the Two Sessions has been a hazy shade of industry to date. But as this picture can attest, that haze was blown out of town yesterday and replaced by a canvas of Lianghui Blue.
