China has become a truly geo-economic meridian of the globe, reverberating in practically all fields. And the 20th CPC National Congress showed an accordingly self-confident spirit ahead.
China’s successes since the founding of the PRC, and the successes it will surely achieve on the path to becoming a great modern socialist country in all respects, will undoubtedly inspire progressive people the world over.
The last 10 years prove that, despite the yearly predictions of imminent economic or political collapse and the best efforts of those who fear China’s rise, China has a resilient and focused system that won’t be easily derailed.
That China is becoming an innovator in areas that matter to everyone else is much more a good thing than it is a bad one. Everyone has their red lines on certain issues. But in plenty of other areas, there is space and opportunity to work together.
In the era of globalization, the international community should learn to coexist in harmony and cooperate in areas like security, development, climate and energy. After all, no person is an island entire of itself.
Perhaps now would be the right time for the U.S. to acknowledge that China-as-partner is much better than China-as-foe when it comes to advancing the world’s knowledge about space.
Before it is too late, Washington must engage with China in a constructive manner to work out a modus vivendi based on the principles of peaceful coexistence.
The U.S., like so many countries, looks foolish when it accuses its political rivals of cyber warfare knowing full well that it does the same.
The signing of this agreement may well end the delisting crisis facing U.S.-listed Chinese companies. This agreement is set to lay the groundwork for further cooperation in this regard. It also reveals the truth that only cooperation can bring win-win results.
The U.S. is suffering a long-term human rights crisis rooted in its plutocratic nature.
