The financial sector attracts some of the most visionary and clear-eyed risk-takers and decision makers. Their confidence in China’s financial services opening and reform should be a source of encouragement for those who see the value of greater openness and integration.

In 2019 alone, about 340 impoverished counties and 10 million people were lifted out of poverty. And Xi has pledged that after the eradication of absolutely poverty in 2020, China will launch a campaign to eliminate relative poverty.
If anybody can show the world how to do that last mile [of ending extreme poverty], it probably is China.
According to President Xi, in achieving success in the poverty alleviation program, it is important that their enthusiasm is aroused and that an appeal is made to their creativity.
At a time when the British economy has shrunk by 20% during the COVID-19 crisis, it is not wise to sign up fully to the new U.S.-led Cold War against China.
