Head to Sichuan for an Air-dried Meat Bonanza
In the past, as the days counted down to Spring Festival many families throughout China would’ve hung up their local–often meat-based–delicacies to dry, but in today’s fast-paced society of oftentimes two earners per household, there simply isn’t time for many. And so, it is off to “Pressed Salted Duck Street” in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, to pick up a bushel or three of the local treat in preparation for the holidays. And if pressed salted duck is not your thing, the 2 km street also offers air-dried sausages, bacon, and rabbit.
